Fried Beef Chow Fun @ Chao Zhou Restaurant [Closed]

I had a strong craving for chow fun after my Thursday class. When I arrived at Flushing Queens, I was desperately looking for a Chinese Restaurant that might still be opened at this time of the night. Without much difficulty, I found Chao Zhou Restaurant that not only serves Chow Fun but also opens till 2am in the morning. I could not wait and ordered my beef chow fun immediately. Beef Chow Fun is usually fried with bean sprout, spring onions, beef of course, and light soy sauce.

Price: Value for money. Priced at $9, you can share with your partner while ordering other side dishes.

Quality: The flat rice noodles were beautiful and glossy. Each strip of noodle has a slight soy sauce taste. The beef was tender and easy to chew. The vegetables were cooked just right. All I can say is that it is delicious!!! おいいし! 好吃! Sedap! Must try!!

Store layout: Located directly opposite of the Flushing Main Library, Chao Zhou Restaurant was very popular food joint. It was always crowded during the weekends. A simple arrangement of furniture made the restaurant neat and pleasant. You will be greeted by a Terracotta soldier at the entrance.

Deep Fried Spicy Chicken Strips @ Sago Café [Closed]

Bubble tea is not uncommon at Flushing, Queens. Bakeries, restaurants, cafes and even small food joints alike were selling bubble tea. Bubble tea is originated in Taiwan in the 1980s. I decided to try out one of the bubble tea joints – Sago Tea Café in the neighbourhood. Other than serving iced beverages, Sago Café also served food and snacks. Price : Reasonably affordable. Quality : The spicy chicken strips with lemon juice were tasty. It was a great snack to share with a group of your friends. Store layout : The store was strategically located diagonally across the Main Street Subway Station. There are two doors in Sago - the first door was the entrance and the other was an order window for takeouts. Another frozen yogurt chain store, Red Mango, opened along Roosevelt Ave at about one minute’s walk from its competitor – Pinkberry . A different concept from Pinkberry, Red Mango has more seats for customers to rest and enjoy the refreshing frozen yogurt. In comparison, Pinkberry , with a narrow stall space, is more suitable for takeaways.
